    A medical device manufacturer Colored thin-wall tubing for medical catheters

    Background
    The customer needed catheters with improved visibility and ease of use at medical sites
    Problem
    Conventional tubing is difficult to be identified and requires advanced techniques for manufacturing.

    We developed custom-made tubes with finely tuned colors and materials to meet the customer's needs. This has improved visibility and ease of use, and enabled support for quick and accurate treatment by doctors in the medical field. Ultimately, it contributed to life-saving medical care for patients and greatly improved reliability in the field.     A semiconductor equipment manufacturer Chemical resistant thin-wall tubing

    Background
    The customer wanted a chemical resistant tube that fit into a small device.
    Problem
    Regular corrugated tubing lacks flexibility and is not easy to maintain.

    Penn & Nitto’s solution

    We developed a thin-wall tube that combines flexibility and chemical resistance by improving the corrugated part. The new product fits easily into small spaces and has excellent chemical resistance, enabling it to provide stable performance for a long period of time, simplifying replacement work and reducing the risk of human error. The new corrugated thin wall tubing has been highly evaluated by customers for its ease of piping and high chemical resistance, contributing greatly to faster maintenance, smaller equipment, and higher reliability.

    An electronic equipment and electrical materials manufacturer Tubing with high shrink ratio for sensor devices and harnesses

    Background
    The customer needed tubing with high insulation and that fits for different size cables.
    Problem
    Insufficient protection due to insufficient shrinkage to improve in addition to improving insulation properties.

    Penn & Nitto’s solution

    We developed a shrink tube made of fluoropolymer that has both a high shrink ratio and high insulation properties, and that fits tightly to the cable and connector joints to enhance the safety and performance of the equipment. This tube was highly evaluated for durability and insulation, improving the equipment safety and reliability by fully protecting the joints. It contributed to improved performance of electronic devices and continues to be adopted.

Products

Flexible tubing

The inner diameter remains almost unchanged even when tube is bent, excellent in flexible piping, and the tube can be expanded and contracted. It can be used to the inside of equipment in small spaces. It is also used as a piping material for fluid transfer in various fields.

Heat shrink tubing

Tubing that shrinks when heated, used for coating parts, etc. It can provide heat resistance, insulation, non-adhesiveness, and slipperiness to the covering objects.
Various shrink ratios and sizes are available for a variety of applications.

Finetube

Super slim tubing that is used for medical and industrial devices. It is also called straight tubing or spaghetti tubing.
